YOGA

The word "yoga" comes from Sanskrit 'jug' which means to unite, to connect, it is about realizing the union of opposites in oneself, as well as the union of the human being with the universe, with the Origin of the vital Force. It is an art of living, a work of the body by the realization of physical postures (asanas), by the mastery of the breath (pranayama), by meditations (dharana, dhyana) and relaxations.

Through hard work and training, the body becomes more flexible, the mind also, the view can develop as well as the force to say "no" to old attractions and reflexes, joy becomes a state of being, the fruit of action.

"Yoga chitta vritti nirodha": yoga is the stopping of the vibrations of the mind, of its automatic activity to reach a finer, more delicate perception of reality, to simply Be, liberated from the world of suffering, seeing reality as it is and acting with/in this reality.

If yoga is better known in India, it can be found everywhere... in Iran, in Egypt, and also in the Western Middle Ages. We can also see, at all latitudes, children spontaneously practicing it in their games. It exists several approaches, the most known being Hatha Yoga, it is the union of the sun (Ha) and the moon (Tha), a balance between STIRA (firmness, power, presence) and SUKHA (gentleness, ease, kindness).

Yoga was initiated by observing Mother Nature, which can be found in the names of the poses.

Each practitioner is unique and particular, and adapts according to who they are.

The outfit for practice, must be flexible and comfortable to facilitate movements.

I accompany you to practice together these different postures during individual sessions or in small groups.
